Use & Care
- Before first use, apply oil sufficiently. Cast iron ware have fine unevenness on the surface where oil comes in to form thin film. The more the pot is coated with oil. the less it is likely to get rusty or burnt.
- Wash the pot well to remove dirt or stains on the surface. Warm it over low to medium heat to dry. Apply a thin layer of oil and stir-fry vegetable scraps so that the oil coats the surface evenly. After a few minutes, turn off the heat to move the vegetables. Cool the pot enough and wash out the oil with brush or scourer.
- Cast iron ware will be coated with more oil over time to be less likely to get rusty or burnt. For the first few times of use, apply more oil before cooking to prevent food sticking as the pot is still not coated with oil enough and likely to get burnt.
- After each use, wash the pot in hot water with brush or scourer, but without using detergent; otherwise, the oil will be washed off. Then quickly heat the pot to dry and cool. Applying a little oil before storage will prevent rust.
- Be careful when using cast iron ware as they are very heavy. Besides, falling or rapid cooling may cause crack.
