Nanohone’s 200-grit stone is an excellent choice for gross metal removal while maintaining a balance between cutting speed and resistance to dishing. These are splash-and-go while retaining a lot of the tactile feeling of more traditional soaking stones in the 200 grit range. They are not quite as wear-resistant as the Shapton Glass 220 but also do not suffer from the issue of glazing and work very effectively with moderate to light pressure.
